Saroma beef comes from the northernmost part of Hokkaido, raised in the great outdoors blessed with clean air and water. It's bred at the top farm, the first in Japan to introduce HACCP (Hygiene Management System). The cattle are fed with a unique fermented feed to keep their stomachs healthy. This breed of black cattle yields meat with an exceptionally tender texture, light and unobtrusive fat, and a rich flavor that spreads through the mouth.
We use rice cultivated by dedicated producers in regions such as Aridagawa Town in Wakayama Prefecture and Higashi-betsuin in Kameoka, Kyoto, the areas famous for their delicious water. The rice is cooked at your table, and the taste of rice cooked in a traditional iron pot, or "kamado," allows you to enjoy a chewy texture and the natural sweetness of the rice itself. The 30-minute wait for the rice to cook heightens the anticipation. Please enjoy the freshly cooked rice from the iron pot.
We use delicious folate eggs from healthy chickens raised at Mizuho Farm in Kyotamba Town, Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture, an area blessed with abundant nature and clean air. These particular folate eggs, to which Mizuho Farm pays special attention, contain three times the usual amount of vitamins and are packed with rich flavor. They are perfect for an egg over rice and go wonderfully as a dip for meats seasoned with sauce. Please enjoy.
